At Whatman Hardwoods, we consider kiln drying
of logs to be an "art" form. Having been in this business
for over 16 years, I have developed an efficient method of the drying
lumber. The best results take time, at least 2-3 months of air drying
green lumber, then into the kiln drying process, which takes approximately
two weeks.
Our kiln can dry 10,000 board foot at one time,
and the dehumidification process that we use provides the best results.
You can expect up to 8% shrinkage of lumber once the process has
been completed.

also have the facilities to air-dry your lumber prior to the kiln
process.
